Copperfield master planned community is located in Northwest Houston along Highway 6 South of US Highway 290.  Developed by a subsidiary of Exxon, Copperfield is one of the original master planned communities in Northwest Houston.

Copperfield is made up of many smaller subdivisions or villages including:  Copper Lakes, Copper Village, Copperfield Middlegate Village, Copperfield Northmead Village, Copperfield Place Village, Copperfield Southcreek Village, Copperfield Southdown Village, Copperfield Southpoint, Copperfield Westcreek Village, Copperfield Wheatstone Village, Copperfield Wheatstone Village Cloverfield, Sommerall West, and Easton Commons.

Each village has its own flavor as the homes were built in different price ranges and sizes depending on the builders and target market at the time with Copperfield Northmead Village and Sommerall on the low end of the spectrum and Copperfield Southdown, Copper Village and Copper Lakes on the higher end of the spectrum.

All villages feature their own pocket parks and public pools as well as an abundance of walking trails.

The Copperfield Racquet and Health Club was originally part of the development and community amenities, but is now privately owned and operated.

Copper Lakes is the only village where there is new construction ongoing.
